The Vintage Apartment

Once upon a time, I owned a little eco-happy gift shop called Buttercup & Co. It was a lovely spot to find homemade, fair trade, organic gifts. I ended up buying a lot of my stock from creative artisans I found on Etsy.com.

Since closing this physical store earlier in the year 2009, I thought about opening a virtual one on Etsy. It took me about 3 months to get it together, but now I finally opened the doors to The Vintage Apartment! I'm pretty thrilled about this new venture, full of vintage goodness. My hope is to add vintage-inspired artwork to the shop by Springtime. It's good to have a new focus, and yet one that still encompasses much of what Buttercup & Co. was all about: joyful moments, eco-conscious items, tea & friends.

My new happy-to-be-vintage shop is aptly named The Vintage Apartment - aptly because it's named after my own apartment filled with glorious amounts of items from the '50s to the '70s.

above: a few of the groovy vintage goodies found in my new Etsy shop.

I'm looking forward to filling (and emptying!) the virtual shelves of this new store in 2010; of course, this means also filling lots of shelves here in the real vintage apartment too. I may need to get more bookshelves!
PS - I made my first sale just today - what a way to start 2010!
