Fisher Price Record Player

This darling little piece of my childhood was found during an impromptu yard sale stop I made on Easter Sunday. I took some snaps of it outside, whilst it played its silly (happy) music. It's always a sweet moment when something happy from my childhood pops out of nowhere and says hello!

I, like most other kids from the '70s, grew up with one of these plastic record players.

Fabulous little creations, so bright & cheerful! I was thrilled that all 5 discs were accounted for, hiding in their little hole at the back of the player. yay! It didn't work at first, but a dear friend added a little WD40 & got her going again. :)

This is why I was so inspired to do a focus on 'To be a Kid Again!' in my earlier Tuesday is for Etsy post. How could I not get into my childhood groove after playing with this thing?

  1. Oh wow! I had this record player, too and I've been thinking a lot about it lately. What were all the songs? I seem to remember "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "Camptown Races", and "London Bridge".
I love Fisher Price toys! They were the best!
