Sunday Smile: Dandelions are Pretty

happy little yellow pompoms lay atop a field of green
the dandelion tries so very hard to make you smile
they sing a little ditty to anyone who ventures by
maybe you should stop and stay a while

I am fond of fields of dandelions. They cheer up a plain grassy patch, and bunny rabbits like to munch on them. I hardly ever try to remove them from my garden, as I figure they just want to brighten up my day with their yellow little selves.
Even Grace enjoys spending time amongst the dandelions (there she is, munching the grass in cow mode).

Update: I had to add this delightful photo of my goddaughter Astrid wearing a circle of dandelions in her hair:

Those dandelions sighed in happiness when they adorned Astrid's hair.

  5. I LOVE this post. I love the dandelions, and with 2 1/2 acres there's not point in even TRYING to get rid of them, even if I did want to (which I don't!) Hooray for dandelions!
