my first vintage dress.

i may have found a new addiction... vintage dresses!

I have been wanting to find/buy a vintage dress for a while now, but never found one that fit, was in cotton (my favourite material), or was the right price. I found all of my vintage dress needs in this, my first ever purchase of just that! I was so nervous it wouldn't fit, but it was as if it were made for me. It fit my curves just right (and that's not always easy - curvy girls, you know what I'm talking about).

Thank you to Crafty Crow Vintage for having this gorgeous dress in her shop & being such a wonderful seller (answering my myriad of questions).
The dress came in the mail just today, and I immediately dropped everything to try it on and do a mini photoshoot. 'Cause I'm a girl, and that's how I roll.

  1. It is darling! I know how you feel about the vintage clothes~I love them but I have such a hard time with sizes (I am a size 16) It is so frustrating!

  2. You look completely awesome in this! I was actually eyeing up that dress for myself! It was in my favorites for a while. It looks great on you though so I'm happy you have it! And I love the hat!

  3. Jamie - I'm a size 14 in modern dress sizes, but in vintage that doesn't mean anything. It's all about the inches for bust, waist & hip. I didn't know those measurements on myself before hunting on Etsy for a vintage dress. Now I do know what to look for, so I feel more confident for my next purchase (which there will be).

Deidre - thanks so much for the compliment! you would've rocked this dress too (but I'm glad I beat you to it!). ;)
