luckyjackson: modern embroidery art

Last weekend, I popped into the Lakefield Jazz Festival. I didn't go for the jazz, though. The only purpose was to visit the artist known as lucky jackson (aka Jen Maynard). I wanted to be, once again, immersed in her world of vintage fabric, embroidery & creative spirit. She's one of a kind!

Photographic journey of my visit to her corner of art at the festival:

Above gives you a taste of what lucky jackson is all about.
Joy. Vintage. Art. Unique. Memories. Sweet.

lucky jackson also creates felted "baked goods" & teacup candles! swoon!

here she is: the artist herself! hello, Jen! :)

my lucky jackson swag. Bettie Page print, bunches of delightful cards, a felted cupcake pin cushion.

I took a Polaroid of Jen; forcing her to show off that gorgeous sleeve of flowers!

If you're in the Toronto area this weekend, I would suggest you pop into the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition being held at Nathan Philip Square July 9-10-11. This is not only a chance for you to meet & see Jen's amazing artwork, but also to view many other wonderfully talented artisans!
If you are going, and do want to see Jen, she can be found in the Turquoise section, Booth 513. Tell her I say hi! :)

Visit Jen's Etsy shop: luckyjackson & her Flickr account
Enjoy viewing the delight that she creates. It's uniquely her own, and I'm grateful to have many of her pieces gracing my walls.
